About
A DJ library that respects the booth and your music
Scratch Storage is a small, independent web app for DJs and music makers. It exists because the hours between buying a track and playing it out were being spent in the wrong places.
What it is
You upload the music you own — purchases, promos, your own productions. Scratch Storage analyses every track for BPM, key, genre, loudness and a waveform, and files it in a private cloud library you can sort, filter and correct. You build playlists, arrange them in folders on USBs, practise the set in DJ mode in the browser, with stems separated on your own GPU and a recorder for the mix, and export to a stick with the files, playlists and crates that Serato, rekordbox, CDJs and Engine OS expect.
Why it exists
The old workflow is a folder of purchases with inconsistent names, a tagging pass, an analysis pass in DJ software, and a USB export that fails on the one player you didn’t test. Each step is fine; the sum is a weekend. Scratch Storage collapses it into one place that does each step properly and hands you a stick at the end.
How we think about it
- Honest formats. FLAC, WAV, AIFF or MP3, labelled on every track and never transcoded on the way to the stick.
- Measure, then let you correct. BPM, key and genre come from the audio; any value can be edited and reset.
- Your library stays yours. Files are private to your account, and nobody else using Scratch Storage can see what you've uploaded.
- No lock-in. Everything exports — a USB, a playlist or the whole library — with tags in the files, so the stick works without us.
- Fast pages, few scripts. The product is a tool, not a feed. Analytics are cookieless and we don't sell data.
What it isn’t
Scratch Storage is not a store, a streaming service or a source of music. It is a tool for organising music you have the right to use. We are not affiliated with AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ, Serato, Denon DJ or Spotify; their names are their trademarks and appear here to describe compatibility.
Free, and still improving
Scratch Storage is free to use, with no paid plans or tiers. Some edges are visible: stem separation needs a browser with WebGPU, and export to Engine DJ’s own database is not there yet (Engine OS players read the folders instead). If something is wrong, say so — email is read by the people who build it.
